Eliot Kennedy winner in Sydney

A fantastic turnout on a fine Autumn evening in Sydney where 14 hardy souls staged the latest event at WPBC.

While Eliot claimed top spot, Louie almost "did a Bradbury" and slipped through into second place, while all around him players were taking points off each other. The Adrians had a chance to take second, but their 1-1 draw in the final round was enough to help Louie over the line.

Fantastic to see the Koutzas boys in action - finally proving that they are NOT just person!! And wonderful that Michael and Samuel Ridger came, gaining valuable lessons on the night.

Special mention to dedicated clubman Jonny Ball who wasn't feeling great, and refereed a bunch of Sydney Premier League matches instead of playing.

Once again the setup and pack away were flawlessly done with all hands on deck.

Thanks to all who attended.

Varant Kurkeyerian wins Condormania II in California

On Saturday, April 13, the Central Coast Condors TSC hosted Condormania II. I want to thank all the competitors that made it to this year's event, and truly appreciate Peter Vahle & Cameron Tucker, for making long drives through inclement weather to attend.

This tournament was the first ASA Open and WASPA competition for the Condors in 2024. Varant Kurkeyerian edged Cameron Tucker 2-1 to claim this year's title. The Final saw both players exchange goals in the first half and Varant held off a pressing Cam to bring the belt home to the Condors!

Thanks to all of you who tuned in to watch our live feeds! Hope you enjoyed!

WASPA rankings of March 2024 are out!

Dear Subbuteo friends,

Action in Switzerland

the WASPA rankings of March 2024 are out. We had another amazing month with 39 regional events, 6 old rules tournaments and 1 promotional tournament added in the records. 21 players made their WASPA debut and we had tournaments in Australia, Belgium, England, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Northern Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, Switzerland and Wales.

In case some results are missing, don't hesitate to contact me.

Individual rankings will interest many of you but the most interesting table is the ranking of nations as England is a solid leader, Belgium is a strong runner-up but 4 nations are in a close fight to finish the season on the podium. We are sure players in Australia, Northern Ireland, Wales and the Netherlands will do their best to help their respective countries to do well.

In the rankings of clubs, we appreciate the new entries (Golazzo SC from Scotland and TSC 69ers from Italy) and really hope more clubs will join the Conference League before the end of the season.

We are glad to see the come-back of London Road SC and Wamme SC in the ranking of clubs for juniors as it's really important to have young players involved in the circuit!

No need to say more. I stay at your disposal for any question regarding the circuit!

If your club is not yet involved in the WASPA circuit, don't be scared to join as our doors are open to all kind of players!

Keep on flicking!
